A 65m Euro construction is to commence in November 08 with the Ice Plaza, a sub-regional shopping centre in Arad, Romania. As the first shopping centre in Arad, this ICE Properties’ development services Arad, a town of 250,000 inhabitants with a catchment area of 500,000 people, and is one of the largest centres in Romania. Amongst the 122 retail units set within the 622,000 sq ft net sales mall are Auchan and Baumax and numerous multi-national and national retailers. The Trans European Highway is close to the Centre which also has a dedicated bus link to the city centre and the scheme has potential for further expansion.
