Brief
Delivery of a new livestock market on a circa 16 acre site, delivering a 149,000 sq ft market facility, complying with new bio security and DEFRA legislation. This is being delivered as a turn key package for Welshpool Livestock Sales Ltd

Construction commenced by our in-house contracting arm (J R Pickstock Ltd) in November 2008 and is due to be completed and handover to Welshpool Livestock Sales in October 2009 creating one of the biggest livestock markets in Europe.

• Re-location of the existing Market needed as existing Town Centre site not compliant with current legislation
• Town Centre re-development generating the value to deliver the new market
• Worked closely with Welshpool Livetsock Sales to design an up to date facility
• Work in partnership with the Town Council, County Council and regional Government as well as liaison with National and Local Politicians
• Major traffic issues requiring detailed Traffic modelling and design, involving the Welsh Assembly Government Office.
