Brief
Housing opportunity area for Tenbury Wells under emerging planning strategy Includes an initial phase for 20-30 affordable units for local people which is due to start on site later in 2009.

In the longer term we are working with the relevant Strategic planning authorities for a larger development of up to 250 new homes helping support local Schools and businesses and the local economy.

Development of phase 1 is being undertaken in partnership with West Mercia Housing Association an experienced and respected Housing Association who manage over 1700 homes in the region

• Negotiating development agreement with land owners
• Securing planning consent for phase one (completed March 2008)
• Working closely with Malvern Hills and West Mercia Housing Association to ensure delivery of the consented scheme in 2009.
• Working in partnership with the Town Council and Local Ward Councillors.
• Working closely with strategic planning authorities to ensure relevant supporting information and consultation documents are provided to assist in the prompt delivery of this important allocation for the future housing needs of the Town.
